My name is Winona LaDuke and I'm from the White Earth Reservation in northern Minnesota, and I'm the Executive Director Honor The Earth. And I'm here to support Bernie Sanders. My reservation in northern Minnesota is facing a set of large oil pipelines from the Enbridge company. Those pipelines come both from the tar sands of northern Alberta and from the fracked oil fields of western North Dakota. We are opposed to those pipelines, and we need politicians that will stand with us and all of the other Indian territories that are in the way. We also know that our lands as indigenous lands are the place where most of the oil and gas, and a good portion of the uranium and coal comes from. The easiest answer for the future generations is to keep it in the ground and we are thankful to Bernie Sanders for saying let's keep it in the ground. Don't make a mess we can't clean up. I'm standing with Bernie Sanders because he understands that there are issues of race and they're issues of corporate privilege in this society. And so we must stand up to corporations and have the courage to do that. The man who's gonna do that is Bernie Sanders. And so I'm with this man in this future. Let us work together for a good future for all of our children. Thank you. My name is Winona LaDuke and I'm from the White Earth Reservation and Honor The Earth.
